Our Story
In August of 2020, Alyssa and Michael met at Buttermilk & Bourbon's outdoor patio in Back Bay, Boston. After dinner, Michael walked Alyssa home to Beacon Hill and soon discovered a lack of Ubers at midnight on a Wednesday in the middle of a pandemic. He ended up walking three miles home to South Boston. Funny enough, the future couple's last first date turned out to be the most memorable.
Michael later proposed in the Spring of 2023 during a weekend getaway to Newport in Rhode Island. It was a private moment in the courtyard at The Frances Malbone House on Thames St. when Michael surprised Alyssa with a custom ring. After the proposal, the couple enjoyed a private sailboat ride along the coastline with a bottle of Veuve. They spent the remainder of the weekend dining around Newport, glass blowing ornaments, and exploring Gilded Age mansions.
